Investigators are calling on the public for assistance after a shooting incident outside a Little Caesars pizza outlet in Phelan. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department's press release, the violent altercation took place on July 2, 2025. Deputies were dispatched to the scene at 7:31 p.m. following reports of gunfire at 4083 Phelan Road. The official announcement provided by Sheriff Shannon D. Dicus noted that an exchange between two individuals escalated, culminating in one person sustaining a gunshot wound, details on the condition of the victim remain undisclosed to the public.
The confrontation ended with both parties departing hastily from the scene—the victim was found at a nearby house and was later airlifted to a trauma center, while the suspect escaped in a white Ford Fusion and still remains at large. The suspect, an unidentified Hispanic male in his 40s with a distinct physical description, including a bald head and black goatee, is sought by law enforcement.
Authorities have released a suspect description in hopes that witnesses or anyone with information might advance the investigation. The man was last seen dressed in a black shirt camo shorts, white long socks, and blue shoes; concerned citizens or those with pertinent information are encouraged to reach out to Detective C.
