Now, Dr. Sarvis intends to increase the number of surgeries performed through Animal Services, notably, and to deploy the Pet Express Bus further into communities to provide care where it's most needed quickly.

Her career is marked by a commitment to mentorship and community engagement, underscored by her work offering wellness services in underserved locations.

Underserved areas are a particular focus for Dr. Sarvis, who aims to increase outreach with more vaccines, microchips, and surgeries for needy pets. This effort goes hand in hand with strengthening partnerships with local organizations and streamlining processes to allow her team to do more efficiently. "I want to strengthen partnerships with local organizations, streamline our internal processes, and make sure we’re following best practices so we can do more, and do it well," Sarvis told the County of San Diego.
