Perales, the collision occurred yesterday at 3:49 PM in the Mission Valley East neighborhood, along the 5000 block of Qualcomm Way.

The victim, a 24-year-old male pedestrian, was struck by a vehicle while walking westward on Qualcomm Way. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the incident, leaving the young man with a tibia-fibula compound fracture. The man was transported to a local hospital, and thankfully, the injuries were reported as non-life-threatening. As of now, the driver remains unidentified, and at large, the San Diego Police Traffic Division is handling the case.

Authorities are urging anyone who holds information about the hit-and-run or who may have witnessed the event to come forward and assist in locating the responsible individual.
