According to the San Marcos Police Department, the incident stemming from a confrontation at a downtown bar, spiraled into violence, resulting in the shooting near East San Antonio and Guadalupe streets early Saturday morning and the subsequent murders of Anthony Barrera, 24, and Alek Pacheco, 20, Jeremiah Jayden Tobias – already incarcerated in Hays County Jail – is alleged to be Bowman's partner in the incident, the pair reportedly were at the scene together; Tobias accused of shooting eight rounds, from a handgun believed to have been modified for automatic fire, according to a Fox 7 Austin interview with Police Chief Stan Standridge.
