Yesterday, the "Sound the Alarm Community Awareness and Safety Campaign" was rolled out by the City of Socorro, equipping households with free smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors to help prevent fire-related disasters. According to the City of Socorro, this program was made possible through the joint efforts of Texas Gas, Texas Tech University, the American Red Cross, and the local city team.
