
Early this morning, a fire broke out in South Boston, rapidly consuming the first floor of a residential building at 121 Marine Road. Quick response from the Boston Fire Department prevented the blaze from claiming more than property as they doused the flames before anyone was harmed. The impact of the fire, however, has left its mark on the community, displacing 9 residents and their pets.
According to a social media post by the Boston Fire Department, the incident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m., and the firefighters' swift action allowed for the safe evacuation of seven adults, two children, and three cats. Despite the upheaval, the department reported, "No injuries to report the cause of the fire is under investigation."
