Authorities in Orange County have recently taken Zacharia Nathaniel Warnke into custody on charges that are linked to a prior burglary incident. Warnke, 32, was served warrants for his involvement in a property crime that resulted in the theft of a significant amount of household goods.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office disclosed on their social media that Warnke allegedly participated in a scheme to break and enter, larceny after breaking and entering, and conspiracy. The residence in question, located on the outskirts of Hillsborough, was undergoing renovations at the time of the theft, which included over $10,000 worth of items. According to their Facebook post, the goods stolen ranged from appliances to building materials.
Already detained in connection with this case is William Cox, 34, also from Rougemont, who was apprehended by deputies last month. It appears that Cox and Warnke were allegedly collaborating in the theft, leading to their current legal predicaments. The details of the crimes and the evidence against the two men have not been publicly detailed.
In the wake of the Pretrial Integrity Act, Warnke has been denied bond and is expected firmly to remain at the detention center until he is called to court.
