Angel Ibarra, a 19-year-old suspect in a February quadruple shooting in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has been extradited back to the United States from Mexico. According to KOCO 5, Ibarra was arrested by federal agents in Mexico this past April and has been booked into the Tulsa County Jail. He faces two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill in a violent incident that resulted in the deaths of two 18-year-olds, Arturo Degollado and Jett Brummett.
The shooting occurred at an apartment complex in east Tulsa back on February 8. Details from KTUL indicate that in addition to the fatalities, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old sustained gunshot wounds from the shooting. Post the incident, authorities arrested and charged two other individuals, 18-year-old Christopher Atjun and an unnamed 16-year-old minor, both also believed to be connected to the crime.
News9 reports that the February shooting is described by investigators as an "ambush-style" attack. A timeline of events shows that after the deadly incident, Ibarra was identified as a suspect and subsequently spent more than two months as a fugitive before his capture in Mexico by U.S. Homeland Security agents. The extradition process soon followed, resulting in his recent return to Tulsa.
