UC Davis Medical Center has been named the top hospital in the Sacramento region for the 14th year in a row by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals ranking. It also holds the number seven spot in California for the 11th consecutive year.
“This year’s rankings are a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering the highest quality care across California — transforming lives and strengthening communities,” said Michael Condrin, interim CEO of UC Davis Health, according to Fox40. The hospital ranked nationally in the top 50 for ear, nose and throat, geriatrics, neurology and neurosurgery, and pulmonology and lung surgery (all at 27th), cardiology and heart and vascular surgery (46th), and diabetes and endocrinology (48th). UC Davis also highlighted efforts to address health equity through programs focused on employment, housing, and environmental health.
UC Davis Medical Center was recognized for high performance in cancer, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and urology, placing in the top 10%, and received a “high performing” rating for procedures including acute kidney failure and aortic valve surgery. It was also recognized among 76 national institutions for serving vulnerable and historically underserved populations. “We believe the ability to live a healthy life should be a right enjoyed by every person,” said Michael Condrin. “That’s why we’re committed to inspiring better health for all,” as reported by UC Davis Health.
