
Wake Forest is preparing to bid farewell to a key figure in its cultural scene, as Debbie Dunn, the Renaissance Centre's Director, is set to retire after a commendable 25-year tenure in the arts. The town celebrates her contributions with a public reception on August 15, where locals can drop in and show their appreciation. The announcement was made available by the Town of Wake Forest, inviting community members to engage and enjoy light refreshments from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Renaissance Centre, located at 405 S. Brooks St.
Dunn, who has played a pivotal role in bolstering the arts scene, will be closing a chapter that spans over two decades of commitment and passion which is evident in the Renaissance Centre's array of programs and events that have Emanated from her vision, her last day is slated for August 20. During her career, she's largely focused on promoting, strengthening, and celebrating the creative and performing arts, with the past six years at the helm of the Centre.
Under her guidance, the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre has become a hub for cultural enrichment, offering a variety of events that cater to all ages and interests, thereby strengthening community bonds and fostering a vibrant arts scene in the town.
