A wave of gun violence washed over Milwaukee this past weekend, with separate shooting incidents leaving several people injured and two notable individuals dead. The tragedies commenced just after midnight on Saturday when a quintuple shooting erupted near the intersection of Water and Michigan streets, a frequented hub in the city's nightlife corridor. As reported by TMJ4 News, among the two fatalities was Antwan Hogans, a revered local entrepreneur and promoter, endearingly known to the community as "Tweezy".

Residents, rattled by the proximity of the incident to their doorsteps, have raised concerns over safety and are calling for increased police presence. The aftermath of the violence was a harrowing sight, with bullet holes scarring at least three storefronts along the bustling Water Street, as FOX6 News documented, in this recent outburst of urban tumult.

The scourge of shootings extended into last night, with four separate incidents exacerbating the community's unease. According to WISN 12 News, the first fatal shooting claimed the life of a 44-year-old man near 39th and Stark streets. No arrests have been made, and the investigations are ongoing. This was quickly followed by another fatality, a 54-year-old, found deceased in a vehicle around 21st Street and McKinley Avenue.

The spate of violence did not end there, two more shootings injured a 15-year-old near 69th Street and Hampton Avenue, and a 19-year-old who arrived wounded at a local hospital after an incident near 3rd Street and Orchard Street.
