In Baltimore's Federal Hill, the ice cream shop Moo Moo Cows became a recent target of vandalism, adding to the neighborhood's growing concerns about crime. According to FOX Baltimore, on Wednesday, two individuals, suspected to be juveniles and described as young males in hoodies, hurled bricks and a rock through the storefront's windows, prompting an investigation by the Baltimore Police.
The incident, which left the shop's main display case shattered along with its windows and resulted in an estimated $5,000 in damages, occurred amidst a flurry of criminal activity in the area—just days preceding this event, a woman was struck by a stray bullet near South Charles Street, despite the Baltimore Police Department's data indicating a slight decline in crime for 2025 compared to the previous year with 82 reported crimes including 27 violent and 55 property crimes; violent crime is down 20% and property crime down 24%, as per the same source.
The owners of Moo Moo Cows, dealing with the aftermath of the vandalism, took to social media to announce an indefinite closure of their shop following the attack. As they tackle the costly repairs ahead, they identified the suspects based on CCTV footage and requested anyone with information to call 443-261-2697, according to the CBS News report.
