The severity of the charges was compounded by Zinov's prior probation status for aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a case also prosecuted in Barnstable Superior Court.

Galibois noted the effectiveness of the cooperative law enforcement efforts; commenting on the bust, Galibois lauded the "seamless coordination between law enforcement agencies," which resulted in the successful disruption of drug distribution in the community, with an emphasis on the ongoing commitment to combat illegal drug activities and the securing of the public's safety, as per the details shared by the Barnstable Police Department, both defendants are being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing set for Friday, August 8, which could extend their detention further pending trial.
