During the gathering, data and statistics were shared by police officers, analysts, and command staff members that delineated the department's approach to mitigating issues affecting quality of life and ensuring the safety of the community, yet the gathering was not merely a platform for a one-way transmission of information—community voices were there to be heard. "We were there to listen to the members of the community about what they see as pressing issues in their neighborhood," the department stated, emphasizing a mutual exchange of perspectives.
