Broomfield residents and visitors, take note of the upcoming schedule changes for Labor Day: several City and County of Broomfield facilities will either close or operate on adjusted hours, as reported by the City and County of Broomfield. If you're planning on getting some recreation or handling government business come Sept. 1, you'll want to keep these timings in mind.
The Broomfield Community Center will maintain service with open doors from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., but other facilities are not following suit, city offices, including the George Di Ciero City and County Building, Health and Human Services Building, and the Water Recovery Facility, will take the day off, leaving many desks unmanned and doors locked, and if you were thinking of dropping by the library or Paul Derda Recreation Center, you'll have to reschedule because these spots will be closed too.
For those who might be concerned about public safety during the holiday, the Police Department Building and Detention Center assures uninterrupted operations, maintaining all activities around the clock, though the front desk will not be staffed; a vestibule phone remains at your disposal, providing a direct line to an officer, according to the City and County of Broomfield.
Judicial matters will also see a pause as the Combined Courts will not open on Labor Day, which means filings, inquiries, and other court-related activities will have to wait until the courts resume their regular schedule; meanwhile, if you have urgent matters, it's advisable to plan or get in touch with the appropriate channels for emergency protocols during the holiday.
