Residents of Charlotte County, mark your calendars for a series of upcoming government meetings. On August 27, community members will have the opportunity to actively participate in discussions on street and drainage maintenance, as well as waterway management. Notably, the Deep Creek Street and Drainage MSBU Advisory Board will convene at 10 a.m. for a session at the Harold Avenue Regional Park Recreation Center, located at 23400 Harold Ave., Port Charlotte.
Later that day, at 1:30 p.m., the Gulf Cove Street & Drainage MSBU Advisory Board will gather at the Mac V. Horton West County Annex, located at 6868 San Casa Drive, Room 120, Englewood. Also taking place at the West County Annex will be the South Gulf Cove Waterway MSBU Advisory Board meeting, slated for a late evening discussion at 9:30 p.m.
As the week progresses, August 28, presents additional avenues for involvement. The Manchester Waterway MSBU Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 10 a.m. at the Centennial Park Recreation Center, 1120 Centennial Blvd., Port Charlotte. This will be soon followed by a 3 p.m. meeting focused on the 2026 Sales Tax, set to occur at the Charlotte County Administration Center in room B106, at 18500 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte.
The day will round out with a public meeting at 6 p.m., regarding the Deep Creek Park, hosted once again at the Harold Avenue Regional Park Recreation Center. These meetings offer a chance for citizens to directly engage with local government officials and to make their voices heard on issues concerning their community's infrastructure and quality of life.
