I came to Cleveland State because of their doctoral program in clinical chemistry, after completing my post-doctoral fellowship in clinical chemistry at the Mayo Clinic. I am grateful to God for having this position open just at the very time I was searching," Anderson said, in a statement obtained by the Cleveland State University news release. He also highlighted the program's distinction as the sole accredited doctoral program in clinical chemistry worldwide.

The success of the program under Dr. Anderson's leadership is evident: 69 students have graduated under him, with alumni assuming prestigious roles as clinical lab directors, CEOs, vice presidents, and faculty members at various esteemed institutions and companies. Furthermore, students of the program have garnered numerous awards and recognitions, intensifying the program's stature.

Apart from his accolade from the ADLM, Dr. Anderson has received recognition from within CSU, winning teaching awards and contributing significantly to the establishment and direction of the Mass Spectrometry Center at CSU. His scholarly work includes publications in prominent journals and contributions as a guest editor.
