Drakeford is transitioning to CCS from his recent post as Assistant Principal at Gamble Montessori Elementary School in Cincinnati. There, his commitment to academic proficiency and emotional well-being shone through as he spearheaded Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and restorative peer groups. With a repertoire that includes teacher coaching and family engagement, Drakeford was instrumental in driving student success. "Mr. Drakeford has demonstrated a strong belief in data-informed practices, inclusive leadership, and building high-trust relationships with students, staff, and families," said a statement obtained by CCS, highlighting his career-long commitment to children's development, both in and outside educational spaces.
John Vincent, a seasoned educator with over two decades of experience, has been appointed as Principal of Northtowne Elementary School. CCS's announcement underscores Vincent's multifaceted expertise, which encompasses classroom teaching, leadership internships, and roles such as Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Consulting Teacher. In his prior position, Vincent made significant contributions to instructional leadership and student engagement, facilitating the professional growth of first-year educators and influencing school operations.
Aside from his academic duties, Vincent's influence has extended to policy-making through his service on the Southwest Licking Board of Education since 2018, having held titles such as Vice President and President. His commitment to equity, communication, and empathy defines his leadership style. Vincent stands ready to amplify student growth and enhance a culture that values every voice at Northtowne Elementary, utilizing his experience in educational leadership from Ashland University and a bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio University.
