Englewood residents and their four-legged friends have something to wag about as the city announces upgrades to Cushing Park. Starting August 11, as posted by the City of Englewood, the local spot for recreation will undergo a series of enhancements that include a shiny new playground and not one, but two dog parks tailored to different-sized pups.
The "Renew & Recreate" campaign is stepping up to transform the park experience, aiming to offer more amenities to community members and their pets. Unfortunately, for the duration of these renovations, the playground is set to be closed. Englewood officials promise to keep the public in the loop with updates and shared milestones as the work progresses.
Here's what to anticipate with the planned upgrades: a complete overhaul of the existing playground is on the books, making way for cutting-edge equipment designed for children to climb, slide, and swing to their hearts' content. In the realm of canine recreation, a brand-new area for small dogs ensures that the little guys won't be overwhelmed, while the big dogs can get a good romp in a larger park decked out with agility obstacles. With these upgrades, Cushing Park is expected to become an even more vibrant hub for activity within the community.
