It's set to take place at Dallas Park, located at 1303 Dallas Cherryville Highway in Dallas. According to the Gaston County publication, families can expect to meet their friendly local officers, engage in various activities, and enjoy an atmosphere celebrating community cohesion.
Moving into Tuesday, the Gaston County Board of Commissioners will host an open work session meeting (non-voting) inviting the public to attend either in person at the Gaston County Courthouse or remotely via live broadcast. The session will commence at 6:00 p.m. on August 12, at the Harley B. Gaston, Jr. Public Forum on the 2nd Floor, and also be televised live on Spectrum Channel 16 and AT&T Uverse Channel 99, as well as livestreamed for wider accessibility.
The week continues with a musical flourish as the Cramerton Concert Series gears up to present a double feature on Friday, August 15. At 5:00 p.m., attendees can catch Rick Hubbard's Great American Kid's Show, followed by the Caleb Davis Band at 6:00 p.m., all at the Centennial Center, 100 Center Street, Cramerton. History buffs and community members alike will have the opportunity on Saturday, August 16, to commemorate a significant moment in their local heritage. The 250th historic anniversary of the signing of the Tryon Resolves will be observed at 10:00 a.m. at the Tryonota Volunteer Fire Department, located at 2577 Tryon Courthouse Road, Bessemer City. Later in the day, at 2:00 p.m., the Gaston County Museum of Art & History, located at 131 West Main Street, Dallas, offers a talk by Nellie Ashford.
