Gaston County Police are currently conducting a homicide investigation following a shooting that took place on Goble St and Huffman Rd. According to a social media post from Gaston County Police, the incident occurred on the evening of Friday.
The officers, arriving at the scene at around 8:27 pm, found a vehicle in which one person was deceased due to a gunshot wound and discovered another with non-life threatening injuries. The injured party was immediately to transport to CaroMont Regional Medical Center for treatment. The police have not publicly shared the identities of the victims at this time.
In response to the tragic event, local law enforcement agencies have come together.
