
In a recent drug sting that targeted distribution and gang activity within Central Georgia, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has made two arrests in Dublin, GA. According to an official statement released by GBI, Brantley David Johnson, 36, and Makesha Latrise Johnson, 49, face multiple felony charges including drug trafficking and possession with intent to distribute.
The culmination of a two-month investigation by the GBI Middle Georgia Gang Task Force (MGGTF) saw law enforcement officers, on Thursday, August 7, executing a search warrant at a residence on Pine Street where they found substantial quantities of narcotics, including methamphetamine, powder and crack cocaine, as well as ecstasy and pills such as Oxycodone and Alprazolam, in addition to firearms and cash, seizure of 461 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, 321 grams of suspected Powder Cocaine, 24 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine, 15 grams of suspected Ecstasy/MDMA, plus more during the raid is a testament to the inter-agency collaboration involving the Dublin Police Department, Georgia State Patrol, Georgia Department of Community Supervision, and the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Post-arrest, both B. Johnson and M. Johnson were booked into the Laurens County Jail. The GBI has issued a call to the community, urging anyone with information related to drug or gang activity to come forward, offering avenues for anonymous tips online and through the See Something, Send Something mobile app.
