Green Cove Springs City Council will hold the final reading of an ordinance that could end the city’s recycling program on Tuesday next week at 6:00 p.m. in City Hall. The meeting will also be available via livestream for those unable to attend in person, according to the City of Green Cove Springs.
The first reading of the ordinance took place on Tuesday last week, and residents are encouraged to provide input during the upcoming session. The City of Green Cove Springs noted that recycling remains an important issue for many residents and invited public participation to share feedback.
Also on the agenda is a proposal for potential rate increases for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water services. Public comments will be accepted during the discussion.
If the ordinance to end the recycling program is approved, the City of Green Cove Springs stated that updates will be provided to all customers currently using the service. Residents can participate either by attending the meeting at City Hall or watching through the official livestream.
