Some streets could experience isolated flooding, with 2-4 inches of rain possible in short bursts. Residents are reminded: "turn around. Don’t drown." After the holiday, humidity and rain chances are expected to decrease starting Tuesday, with some areas seeing temperatures in the upper-60s by midweek.
Houston will have mostly sunny skies this week, with highs in the low 90s and a 20% chance of rain by next Saturday. A tropical wave off the west coast of Africa has a 30% chance of becoming a depression or tropical storm in the next seven days. The peak of hurricane season is two weeks away.
