Tenants at Timber Ridge Townhomes on the north side of Houston say they are struggling with poor living conditions and a lack of response from management. Resident Shantay Jackson told FOX 26 Houston, "When I get back home from work, I’m going to hell. I’ve reported it, and I’ve done everything I can do, and I’m at my last straw." Jackson said she experienced an electrical fire in her apartment, which she discovered after waking up to smoke inhalation. She plans to move out within the next two weeks despite her lease agreement.

Tenants at Timber Ridge Townhomes say they are living in unsafe conditions, facing issues from mold to insect infestations. Shantay Jackson, who has inadequate lighting after an electrical fire, said management’s response was, "They told me to buy a lamp with an extension cord and bring it into the bathroom so I can move it around." Another tenant, Domineque Franklin, reported ongoing water damage, stating, "The AC unit above the kitchen has been leaking for three months. That’s mold," according to Click2Houston. Residents say maintenance issues remain unaddressed, with concerns escalating after the complex’s only maintenance worker allegedly shoved a reporter who tried to question him. For now, tenants say their only option is to send emails, a step they argue is ineffective for urgent problems.

Residents of Timber Ridge Townhomes in north Houston say they are dealing with hazardous living conditions and minimal action from management, as repair requests continue to be overlooked. Shantay Jackson told FOX 26 Houston, "You put in a service request, and they will email you and say it’s completed. How? If they haven’t even come out and done anything—they’re lying." Community advocate Candice Matthews described the situation to Click2Houston, saying, "The conditions here are serious and atrocious." Tenants report they are left to support one another while awaiting a resolution.
