Two years ago, a shooting at a Dollar General in Jacksonville claimed the lives of three individuals: Angela Michelle Carr, Anolt Joseph “AJ” Laguerre Jr., and Jerrald Deshaun Gallion. According to a statement by Mayor Donna Deegan shared by City of Jacksonville on Facebook, the City of Jacksonville described them as valued members of the community.
The city emphasized its commitment to honoring the victims by remembering their names and investing in the neighborhoods they were part of. The message noted that Jacksonville will continue efforts to create a safe environment for all residents, regardless of background or circumstances.
The Kings Road community, where the tragedy occurred, has been significantly affected.
