Joe Bradley was inducted into the Parks and Recreation Wall of Fame during its 42nd annual ceremony at the Langston Centre. The event was led by April Norris, Director of Parks and Recreation, and recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the city’s parks and recreation sector, according to the City of Johnson City.

“The Wall of Fame ceremony is always a special night where we honor and celebrate individuals who have made meaningful contributions to our city and department,” Norris said in a statement. Bradley was recognized for his 41-year career at Eastman Chemical Company, his roles as vice chair and chair of the Johnson City Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, his leadership at Umoja Arts and Cultural Inc., his service on his church’s security team and trustee board, and his support of local events through his business, as reported by the City of Johnson City.

In addition to Bradley’s honor, the ceremony recognized Henry Joy, Jim Hughes, Kelly Porter, several community groups, and businesses including Xfinity and Krispy Kreme for their volunteer work in areas such as the arts and environmental programs. “We’re very grateful for our volunteers who generously give their time to help our community flourish,” said Norris, as stated by the City of Johnson City.
