The Lancaster Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at Palmetto Place Apartments late Monday night. According to WCCB Charlotte, 57-year-old Edward Townsend died from gunshot wounds. Authorities responded to a call around 9:30 PM, and Townsend later died at the hospital.
James Singleton was arrested in connection with the murder at the same apartment complex on Pardue Street yesterday, according to WSOCTV.
Lancaster Police Chief Don Roper told WBTV that the department is satisfied with the quick resolution of the case. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to work on the legal process for the accused.
