Parents in Lorain County can add an extra layer of protection for their little ones during the county fair this week. The Lorain County Sheriff's Office announced it'll be offering child ID processing services, an effort that doesn't go unnoticed in the realm of child safety measures. According to a social media post by the Lorain County Sheriff's Office, the ID processing is set to take place on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday of the fair week from noon until 8:00 p.m.
Ensuring that the community has access to these crucial services, the IDs will be made at the conveniently located DARE trailer adjacent to the Sheriff’s Office sub-station at the main gate. As we all know, amidst the carnival rides and cotton candy, the fair atmosphere remains vigilant against the unforeseen. While the fairground bustles with families, these ID processing services stand as a silent sentinel, guarding against the nightmare that all parents dread. Processing child IDs, the Lorain County Prosecutor's Office will not be left behind, setting up shop Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of Fair Week at the same hours in BUILDING 19 (Fair Hall).
This initiative comes as part of an ongoing effort to promote child safety, providing peace of mind for parents and guardians amidst the crowds and excitement of the fair. The IDs encompass vital information that could prove imperative in case of an emergency, including the child's photo, fingerprints, and other identifying details. The service is practically a beacon of precaution, illuminating the pathway back home should a child stray or an unfortunate event unfold.
