A disturbing incident at the University of Central Florida has prompted an arrest after a man, identified as Yeonsoo William Lee, was accused of illicitly filming a woman at the UCF library. According to ClickOrlando, Lee faces charges of video voyeurism and evidence tampering. The victim, noticing a cellphone aimed unscrupulously up her skirt while she studied, confronted Lee, and subsequently, the recording did not remain hidden despite his attempt to delete it.
As per the account of a witness, during the confrontation, Lee boasted that capturing such videos was his “job,” suggesting that there exists a market dedicated to this reprehensible content. This claim was made to the witness by Lee before he deleted the video, as detailed in the arrest affidavit and mentioned in the report by ClickOrlando. The act has been met with intense scrutiny and has prompted both legal and academic investigations.
Adding to Lee's alleged brashness, Giovanni Grossini, another witness to the event, told police, as per WFTV's report, that Lee had the boldness of even showing the video to others while stating his activities were a form of employment. This additional detail of Lee's purported openness in sharing the footage adds a layer of concern regarding the privacy and safety of the university environment.
