
A fatal shooting in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood left a man dead last night. As reported by WPXI, Allegheny County dispatchers received a call about the incident on the 2300 block of East Hills Drive at 9:20 p.m., following a ShotSpotter alert that detected seven rounds.
The police, arriving swiftly on the scene, discovered an unresponsive 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Efforts to quickly perform life-saving measures were initiated, but the man, despite these attempts, died at the scene. A total of seven shell casings were located by police at the site of the shooting, suggesting the gunfire that took the man's life was both sudden and deadly.
Meanwhile, CBS News noted additional details, indicating that the unfortunate event occurred around 9:30 p.m. and was preceded by a ShotSpotter notification of seven rounds fired. The identity of the man has not been released yet.
