Early Monday morning, a shooting incident occurred in the parking lot of a California Closets in Huntington Beach. According to the ABC7 report, the incident happened just after 7 a.m. near Springdale Street and Skylab Road, resulting in one man injured who was promptly taken to the hospital. The Huntington Beach Police Department has yet to disclose the condition of the victim.
Following the disturbance that led to the incident, the area became the center of an active police presence, as shown in aerial images acquired by FOX LA. The situation prompted officials to advise the public to avoid the scene, now reported secure with no further threat perceived to the community. Witness heard at least six gunshots, this was a disquieting start to their day.
Huntington Beach Police Department spokesperson Corbin Carson reassured the public, as mentioned in ABC7, stating detectives believe it to be an "isolated incident, and there's no further threat to public safety."
