The City of Marysville has made a strategic move in bolstering its infrastructure team by bringing on board Jim Kaylor as the inaugural Director of Utilities & Maintenance Services, as the city wheels into an era that demands acute attention to environmental and maintenance services. Kaylor, with a track record of handling similar responsibilities in multiple cities in the Southwest and the Pacific Northwest, will take charge of Marysville's water, stormwater, surface water, solid waste, and maintenance sectors right after the Labor Day celebrations simmer down.
Kaylor's résumé reflects experience in Cave Creek, AZ, Glendale, AZ, San Clemente, CA, and with the Coos Bay North Bend Water Board in Oregon. A graduate of Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Kaylor brings expertise that aligns with Marysville’s growth and long-term goals.
"I am impressed with the journey and leadership the City of Marysville has exhibited to arrive at 2025," Kaylor expressed, sharing his anticipation to join the city. His enthusiasm was palpable, reflecting a readiness for the challenges and milestones ahead and pointing to a shared vision between the new director and the city's forward momentum, according to a statement from the City of Marysville's website.
