Memphis is stepping up its game to connect young adults with tangible career opportunities, and The Collective Blueprint (TCB) is leading the charge with its Career Experience Program Meet & Greet. This event, described as a bridge between eager youth and local businesses, aims to set the stage for relationships and opportunities that extend well beyond the morning's meet-up. As reported by Memphis' official government website, this inaugural gathering will see participants aged 18 to 22 introduced to over 40 employers, keyed to initiate their career journeys with real-world experiences.
The session isn't just a schmooze fest, though it's touted as a nexus of networking and mentorship, and is meant to spark discourse that resonates with the very fabric of Memphis's growing workforce. "We're excited to welcome this year's cohort and celebrate the power of partnership in creating real-world impact," Justin Hash, Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Recruitment at TCB, told the city's official site. The convergence, as positioned, is not merely about making introductions but planting the seeds of vocational growth and community betterment.
Carving out a nine-week experience that is rewarding both educationally and financially, the Career Experience Program is a partnership with the City of Memphis. The initiative will afford participants $17 an hour while immersing them in a professional landscape ripe for growth. They'll be taken under the wings of industry mentors, engage in skill-enhancing workshops, and be given the tools for what is hoped to be sustained success in their chosen fields.
