Milwaukee Police are currently on the hunt for a suspect involved in a burglary on the city's Lower East Side, which was reported to have taken place in the early hours of July 30. The incident occurred near Farwell and Lafayette at around 2:40 a.m., as outlined by the Milwaukee Police Department on FOX 6 Now. An African American male suspected to be between the ages of 30 and 40 has been identified as the person of interest in this case. He is described as roughly six feet tall and weighing about 200 lbs, marked by low-cut black hair and a goatee.
Authorities have disclosed that the suspect managed to force entry into a locked building, where he subsequently stole items from the vehicles parked within. WTMJ reports that the burglary involved property theft from cars, not only suggesting a violation of personal space but also raising concerns about vehicle security in shared and presumably secure spaces.
The suspect's last known appearance, captured on surveillance footage, includes a dark long-sleeved shirt, dark pants, and black and white tennis shoes. TMJ4 added this detail, contributing to a fuller image of the burglary suspect, fostering hopes amongst community members and law enforcement alike that recognition may lead to a swift arrest.
As the police continue their search, they are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the apprehension of a suspect. Anonymity is offered to those who come forward with details that could assist the investigation.
