In a developing story out of Westmoreland County, police have announced the discovery of a missing man's car, which appears to have been intentionally concealed. Ruben Carranza, missing since July 29, was last seen in a white 2002 Toyota Avalon, with Pennsylvania plates HSG-7080.
The car was found off Ridge Road in Acme, as reported by a concerned local and confirmed by the City of Greensburg Police Department. "We believe this timing is NO COINCIDENCE," authorities stated in WPXI's coverage of the event. This urgency comes as it seems the vehicle was first taken to an unknown location on July 29, before being moved to its latest spot on Ridge Road.
Adding to the mystery, evidence suggests the car was concealed precisely last Tuesday, coinciding with the initial public reports of Carranza's disappearance. Details gathered by the police indicate that individuals in the Acme area may possess vital information regarding the case.
Amid their ongoing search for Carranza, authorities have disclosed that the missing man's cell phone last signaled in the Mt. Pleasant area. Teams have thoroughly searched familiar sites, including Mammoth Park, Lynn Run State Park, and Beam Rocks, all frequent haunts for Carranza, according to CBS News Pittsburgh. The police are now urgently appealing to the public to come forward with any information that may assist in their investigation.
The Greensburg Police Department is urging anyone with information about Carranza's whereabouts to contact them at 724-834-3800 urgently.
