
A tragic incident unfolded in Jurupa Valley yesterday afternoon, as a motorcycle rider suffered fatal injuries following a collision with a vehicle. According to a report from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred around 4:49 p.m. at the intersection of Armstrong Road and 30th Street. Deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the scene, where they found the injured motorcyclist in the northbound lanes.
Both the motorcycle rider and the driver of the vehicle were transported to local hospitals. Despite receiving medical attention, the motorcyclist did not survive, succumbing to the injuries. In a statement made by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, the driver of the vehicle has cooperated with authorities, and at this time, it appears that neither alcohol nor drugs were contributing factors in the accident. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team is managing the ongoing investigation. While they work to determine the precise cause of the fatal event, officials have temporarily closed off a portion of Armstrong Road for evidence collection and scene processing.
