Mark your calendars for an evening of local flavors and retail therapy in North Bend on September 13, because the Sip, Suds, and Si event is making a comeback. The affair, running from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., offers participants a chance to explore Downtown North Bend through a curated experience of art, tastings, shopping, and dining, per an announcement on the city's website.
During Sip, Suds and Si, shops and eateries will throw open their doors in a convivial bid to strengthen community ties. "This beloved biannual event supports our mission to cultivate a vibrant and thriving downtown," Jessica Self, the North Bend Downtown Foundation Executive Director, said in a release. The proceeds from the event will benefit the foundation's programs and various downtown beautification efforts.
It's important to note that only those with an advanced ticket and proper age verification can partake in the wine and beer tastings. However, minors under the age of 21 are welcome to join the walk at no charge. Over 450 attendees are anticipated to attend, making for a bustling, yet intimate gathering of locals and visitors alike.
For those mapping out their evening, the event kicks off with check-in at 5:00 p.m. at the North Bend Train Depot, located at 205 E McClellan Street. And no worries about traffic; city streets will remain accessible to vehicles, with participants expected to use sidewalks and crosswalks to navigate from venue to venue, according to the city's alert.
