As we navigate the complexities of the digital age, the safety of our youngest web surfers is taking center stage in Oklahoma City. The local police department is spearheading an initiative aimed squarely at the heart of this issue. Announcing their upcoming town hall, the Oklahoma City Police Department shared on social media their commitment to the cybersecurity of children within their jurisdiction.
Focused on "Protecting Kids Online," this event, detailed in a Facebook post by the Oklahoma City Police Department promises to deliver crucial information to parents and guardians. It will take place on Wednesday, August 27th, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Western Heights High School Auditorium.
The interactive evening aims to school participants in the use of Project iGuardian, an initiative designed to arm families against the cyber threats that proliferate unseen. Attendees will also learn to recognize online dangers and defend their children from silent predators lurking in the virtual shadows, eager to exploit the innocent. "Your presence is crucial in building a stronger, safer Oklahoma City," underscores the social media post from the police department. "Let's work together to 'Click Smart, Stay Safe'!," as per the Oklahoma City Police Department.
