A Powerball ticket purchased at a Stop & Shop on Springfield Boulevard in Queens won $1 million last Saturday night’s drawing, according to lottery officials. The ticket claimed the second prize, while the jackpot remained unclaimed and has increased to $750 million, reported PIX11.
While Queens produced a $1 million winner, other areas of New York also sold winning tickets. Brooklyn and Middleport each sold a third-prize ticket worth $50,000. The winning numbers from last Saturday’s draw were 34, 14, 11, 47, 51, with Powerball 18 and a 2x PowerPlay, according to NBC New York.
Another New Yorker also won the $1 million Powerball prize on August 6. Additionally, earlier this month, a player in New Jersey claimed the same seven-figure prize. Despite these wins, the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot remain at one in 292 million.
The next drawing for the $750 million jackpot is scheduled for today. The cash option for the jackpot currently stands at $338.6 million through Mega Millions.
