
Tragedy has struck the Port of San Diego as Harbor Police respond to a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of an unidentified woman. According to a press release from the Port of San Diego, the incident occurred last Friday night on North Harbor Drive.
First responders found the victim in the westbound lanes suffering severe injuries from being struck by a vehicle. Despite the life-saving attempts, she died at the scene. The suspect, whose identity remains unknown, drove away before police could arrive. The type of vehicle is also unidentified, though it is likely to show signs of front-end damage.
The Harbor Police's Traffic Investigation Unit is spearheading the investigation, and they have issued a call for public assistance. They are searching for witnesses, dashcam footage, or surveillance video that could provide insights into the circumstances that led to this calamitous event.
