The Santa Rosa Police Department's initiative to tackle cold cases through social media has become a beacon of hope for families of missing adults, with the department's latest campaign poised to delve into unresolved disappearances. Launched in January of 2024, the SRPD's campaign, "Missing Person Monday," has highlighted 30 cases spanning from 1984 to the outset of the program and has remarkably traced 5 missing adults, including one who had been missing since 2005.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department's social media post, the success of the first two campaigns was a much-needed push to initiate a third, continuing the weekly emphasis on several cold cases; this enduring effort not only seeks to locate these individuals but also to reignite investigations with fresh leads, SRPD's compelling stride towards stirring the community's conscience and engaging the public's eye on these long-lost narratives underscores the imperative of collective vigilance and action.
In the pursuit of bringing resolution to these harrowing chapters of uncertainty and longing, the Santa Rosa Police Department encourages the public to keep an eye on their social media pages each week for updates on the cases featured. Anyone with immediate knowledge of the whereabouts of any featured individuals is urged to contact local law enforcement or reach out directly to the SRPD at 707-528-5222 for those within Santa Rosa, as well as provide any additional information that may assist in these cases by contacting the SRPD Violent Crimes Investigations Team tip line at 707-543-3590.
