The evening and ensuing days, however, bring back the familiar curtain of rain. Commencing tonight after 10 pm, rain is predicted with an 80% chance of precipitation, with new precipitation amounts estimated between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. Following this evening's rain, Friday will experience more of the same, with a 90% chance of showers and potential new rainfall between a quarter and half of an inch. Carried by a south wind that could reach gusts as high as 24 mph, the day's high is poised near 68 degrees, while umbrellas are set to unfurl across the city.
For those planning weekend activities, Saturday offers a likely chance of showers and mostly cloudy skies, with a south southwest wind around 10 mph. The probability of precipitation stands at 70%, yet the gloominess is expected to dispense less than a tenth of an inch of new precipitation. The drear continues into Saturday night, with a 40 percent chance of precipitation, before the skies begin to part slightly on Sunday.
Looking ahead, the NWS forecast suggests a pattern of partly sunny days and mostly cloudy nights stretching into next week. Sunday shines a little brighter with a high near 75 degrees, followed by a low around 58 at night. This theme of partial sunshine against a backdrop of intermittent clouds remains consistent up to Tuesday, where temperatures may reach up to a warmer 77 degrees. With Wednesday also boasting mostly sunny skies, the high is anticipated to hover near a comfortable 75 degrees once more, offering a stretch of relatively dry days for the Emerald City dwellers.
