
Chaos ensued in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon when a multi-vehicle crash involving two Metro buses left several individuals injured. The KTLA reports the Los Angeles police responded to an incident near 111 S Grand Avenue that occurred around 4:17 p.m.
Images from the scene depicted a bus on the sidewalk, having collided with the outside patio of a restaurant by the Walt Disney Concert Hall. A second bus and a Mercedes SUV with conspicuous frontal damage were stalled on Grand Avenue. The SUV's front end bore significant marks of the accident, as per KTLA.
According to the LAFD's alert, firefighters have contained a secondary gas leak linked to the incident, and officials say the scene is now stable with no further risk. The Department of Transportation has closed nearby roads, and the gas company is responding.
