To help manage Labor Day weekend beach traffic, St. Johns County and the Tourist Development Council will provide free shuttle services from today through Monday next week. Shuttles will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., taking riders to the St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier and Mickler's Landing Beachfront Park. Pick-up points are at Cornerstone Park, 1046 A1A N., for Mickler's Landing, and St. Augustine Beach City Hall, 2200 A1A S., for the pier. Updates on shuttle times and beach conditions are available on the SJC Connect mobile app or through Beach Services at 904-209-0331, as per the St. Johns County website.

North Beach Park will remain closed for beach parking due to construction. Beach driving is permitted from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a valid beach driving pass, which can be purchased at beach ramp access points with cash.

Lifeguards will be on duty from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the weekend. Beach warning flags will indicate conditions such as strong currents or marine life hazards. Rip currents remain a concern, and safety guidance advises swimming parallel to shore if caught in one. Vehicle traffic must stay in designated driving lanes, and parking is limited to the west side between cones and dunes.
