
A Sterling Heights man is slated to quickly face a judge in the fall for charges related to a bank robbery. The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office announced that Armand David Saroli, 52, is set for a Preliminary Exam at 9 am on Thursday, October 2. The hearing is to be held at the 41A District Court before Judge Annemarie M. Lepore. As reported by the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office, Saroli is facing a serious felony charge for Bank Robbery, a charge that can carry a life sentence or a term of many years.
According to authorities, the incident unfolded on July 23, when Saroli allegedly walked into a Sterling Heights bank around 1:28 pm. He is said to have then passed a note to a teller demanding money. After receiving the funds, Saroli fled the scene but was subsequently apprehended by law enforcement officials. Further worsening his case is a Habitual Offender - Fourth Offense Notice tied to his name, hinting at a lengthy criminal history.
Currently, Saroli is being held at the Macomb County Jail with bail set at a steep $750,000 cash/surety bond. The county's tough stance on crime was echoed by Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido, who affirmed his office's commitment to community safety. "Our top priority is keeping this county safe for every resident, family, and business.
