Residents who use Tempe 311 for municipal inquiries should note that the service will be unavailable during the holiday. However, service requests can still be submitted online through the city’s official website. Likewise, Tempe Customer Services will be closed for the day, but their online portal will remain available for bill payments and other information.
The Tempe Municipal Court will be closed for Labor Day. Payments and case information can be accessed through the court’s website. The automated payment system by phone will be available, except during its nightly downtime from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Those planning to move around the city should take note that bus and rail services will follow the Sunday schedule, and the Tempe Transit Store will not open. Trash and recycling pickup service for both commercial and residential areas will run without interruption. The Household Products Collection Center will be closed, temporarily suspending hazardous waste drop-off services.
For recreational activities, the Kiwanis Recreation Center and the North Tempe Multi-Generational Center will be open to the public with reduced hours, while some facilities, including the Kiwanis Park Batting Range and Pyle Adult Recreation Center, will remain closed.
