Union County is actively courting dining and shopping options in a bid to beef up local economies throughout its municipalities. In a recent development luncheon as reported by the Union County's news release, elected officials and staff from across the county gathered to exchange insights on attracting national retail and restaurant brands.
The luncheon was a chance to not only break bread but to certainly break down the barriers to effective economic development within the county. Union County Economic Development and their partner, Retail Strategies, were on hand to provide a platter of data, national trends, and case studies, as per the Union County.
“Restaurant and retail provide dining, shopping and employment options to our community while strengthening our local economy,” said Ron Mahle, Economic Development Director, in a statement that underscores the luncheon's objectives. It seems that the Union County is poised to use these gatherings as vehicles for collaborative growth, aligning civic leaders with the tools necessary for tangible progress.
Discussions during the event went beyond mere presentations, offering a forum for municipal leaders to collectively brainstorm and swap strategies. There's clear evidence that Union County is trying to fully harness a common vision of development, leading to a unified push in enhancing the local economies of each town. "Because every town is unique, our goal is to equip local leaders with information that fits their vision for business recruitment to their communities,” Mahle told attendees, affirming the customized approach that the Union County advocates.
It seems that the local leadership came away from the luncheon with a fuller understanding of the opportunities at their fingertips, and with Union County orchestrating such forum-themed events, the expectation is one of tangible growth in the area's dining and shopping landscapes in the months to come.
