Union County is actively courting dining and shopping options in a bid to beef up local economies throughout its municipalities. In a recent development luncheon as reported by the Union County's news release, elected officials and staff from across the county gathered to exchange insights on attracting national retail and restaurant brands.
The luncheon was a chance to not only break bread but to certainly break down the barriers to effective economic development within the county. Union County Economic Development and their partner, Retail Strategies, were on hand to provide a platter of data, national trends, and case studies, as per the Union County.
“Restaurant and retail provide dining, shopping and employment options to our community while strengthening our local economy,” said Ron Mahle, Economic Development Director, in a statement that underscores the luncheon's objectives.
