Following a diligent investigation by the Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit and Camarillo Detective Bureau, Ventura resident Isaac Tadeo, 28, was apprehended and stands accused of a recent spate of burglaries. According to a media release by the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a burglary report last Monday at a residence on the 300 block of West Highland Drive in Camarillo.
Items reported stolen from the residence included firearms, jewelry, and cherished family heirlooms. After the initial burglary, a person of interest was flagged, and it didn’t take long for the situation to escalate. On August 23, deputies attempted to stop Tadeo as he was driving away from the same neighborhood. In the investigation's next phase, deputies executed a search warrant at Tadeo's home on Rodgers Street in Ventura, where they unearthed several firearms and other items linking him to the crime, as reported by the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
Tadeo, who has previously faced conviction, was being held on multiple charges, "including VC 2800.2 (a) – [Evading An Officer], VC 2800.4 – [Eluding a Pursuing Peace Officer], PC 29800(a) – [Possession of a Firearm by a felon], PC 30305(a) – [Possession of Ammunition by a felon], and PC 459 [Residential Burglary]," with bail set at $55,000. His arrest was the culmination of efforts by local law enforcement to address a series of residential burglaries plaguing the community.
The Sheriff's Office also extended gratitude, pointing out how this incident underscores the importance of community engagement in addressing crime.
