A Waushara County registered sex offender has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin released information regarding the indictment against 41-year-old Adam A. Juslen, on August 12, 2025. As reported by the U.S. Attorney's Office, Juslen faces charges for the possession of sexually explicit images depicting children under the age of 8.
Juslen, who had previously been convicted of child pornography possession in 2010, 2014, and 2015, could serve a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to 20 years in prison if found guilty of the new federal charges. Having been carried out by the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation, this case represents a continued effort to tackle the disturbing issue of child exploitation. According to the information obtained by the U.S. Attorney's Office, Assistant United States Attorney Alexander E. Duros is slated to prosecute the case.
Project Safe Childhood, which plays a central role in the nation's fight against the sexual exploitation and abuse of children, was the framework under which Juslen's case was pursued. Launched in May 2006 by the U.S. Department of Justice, this initiative draws upon federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute internet-based child exploitation criminals, as well as to rescue victims. The U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS) leads the charge. More information can be found on their initiative by visiting the Project Safe Childhood website. Adam A. Juslen, while through an indictment has been charged, must be recognized as innocent until proven guilty; entitled to a fair trial where the burden lies on the government to establish his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
